Finals week is for Farmington High School is here and for many, this week can be the cause of hours of stress.

Finals will be implemented for every class a student is enrolled, including sports and electives.

Studying is very important. Some helpful studying tips are writing down notes, partnering up with a friend, listening to audio tapes, or watching instructional videos for further explanation.

“If I have something to fidget with, I study better. Or like music, most of the time, I’ll be dancing while typing out my notes,” said freshman Lou Lobato.

Getting plenty of sleep the night before is very important. Avoid falling asleep during your final at all costs; they are timed, after all.

Chewing gum or sucking on a mint or candy is shown to help the brain focus.

Staying on the eating topic, making sure your stomach is full with foods with vitamins and nutrients to keep your energy levels up and your attitude good.

But most of all, have a positive mindset and believe in yourself. So many other students have survived finals week, so you will too.
